I'm about to finish a second consecutive 5k speed work this coming Sunday. I'm feeling good about run times. After the holidays its a full-marathon workup, but goal is still a sub-20 5k in my near future.

As to calisthenics and weight loss, I just finished 21-Day Fix Extreme Realtime with who I previously assumed was Satan, Autumn Calabrese. But then Laura gets the bright idea to do Jericho McMatthews' Morning Meltdown 100.

I should have expected it to be rougher than I was prepared for. It's obvious from listening to Autumn's positivity and motivation as well as how long it takes for her to work up and prepare programs like 80-Day Obsession and 9-Week Control Freak that she has to really put in a lot of effort and dedication to be truly evil. On the other hand, Jericho is a redhead. Evil is just natural. She'd have to put in as much effort as Autumn to just be nice.

At least that's how it feels right now. Maybe it's because I'm 41 and broken compared to when I was a SOF pipeliner in my early-to-mid-20s. But damn, it feels good to be getting back in great shape.

Yes, holiday decorations are already up. We waited until after Halloween because we aren't monsters.
